BTS: Course Creation

"Create a course" was on my to do list FOR YEARS before I finally actually created my first one. I created slides, planned out lessons, and even recorded a few videos once! But the task just seemed so BIG and so intimidating to actually finish.

But once I started Peaceful Passive Income, I decided to try again. And FINALLY got my first course over the finish line!

In the past 12 months, I've released SIXTEEN different courses.

And while I'm not going to pretend that that classifies me as an expert, it has given me the chance to work out a general system for creating a course without it taking too much time or causing too much stress. (I say "system" but the creative process is messy sometimes, and this is no exception.)

So if you've been thinking about creating your first course, but you're just not quite sure yet exactly what it looks like, this is your chance to get an inside peek.

No cookie cutter course creation formula here. This is you watching over the shoulder as I create my next course from start to finish, as it actually unfolds.

Daily recaps - I'll post what I worked on for the course each day (or will record that I was working on other things, because I don't put the rest of my business on hold when I'm creating a course). These will be in written form.

My thoughts on different parts of the course creation process (everything from course planning to recording videos to actually launching). These will likely be in video or audio format.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

When you sign up, you'll gain access to my BTS: Course Creation area in Thrivecart. All of the behind-the-scenes content will be added there as it is created.

WHAT'S THE TIMEFRAME?
I'm planning to start creating the course June 11th, 2025 and hope to finish it by the end of June. Even if you join after the 11th, you'll have access to all previously uploaded recaps. You'll also retain access to this behind-the-scenes even after the course is fully launched.

IS THIS A MEMBERSHIP?

Nope! Hopefully it will be concluded within the next couple of weeks, so there's not even time for anything recurring.

WILL I GET ACCESS TO THE COURSE TOO?

No, this behind-the-scenes project is just showing you the behind-the-scenes. It won't show you the actual content of the course I'm creating except for just snippets when it helps me make a particular point clear.

WHAT KIND OF COURSE WILL IT BE, THOUGH?

Like most of my courses, the course you'll be watching me create is a product creation training. Or rather, it's a training on how to create an entire line of products within a particular nice. The products are all highly visual, involve lots of patterns and clipart, and are in the kid's education niche. I haven't officially planned out the content yet (because that goes inside the behind-the-scenes!) but I anticipate this will be a decently large course comparable in scope to my Activity Book Design or Busy Book Design courses.
